Fitting Guidelines:

To enable any surface water to flow off, we advise installing your thermolight roof light on a 40mm by 1000mm gradient. All of our roof lights come with a comprehensive fitting guide, and we also offer complete telephone technical assistance. Your on-site joiner must first build a timber kerb up stand that is 70 mm wide by 150 mm high, leaving a 100 mm gap between the timbers. Depending on the size of the roof light you ordered (for example, a 1000 × 2000 mm roof light), the internal timbers should measure 800 x 1800 mm. The top face of the timber kerbb up stand is completely covered and overhung by our thermolight roof light, which has a 100mm overhang on all four sides. Before installing the roof light, you should apply your preferred roof covering (rubber, GRP, or felt) to your roof, covering the top face of the timber kerb up stand. After it’s finished, you may start fitting. Without sacrificing quality, apply the appropriate glazing silicone to the timber kerb up stand’s top. Make sure there are no air bubbles remaining by applying equal pressure to the silicone beads as you bed down the roof light. As seen in the picture, install an internal timber baton support beneath the inner glass.
